Ukraine's Global Drone Defense: Securing Allies in the Middle East

Ukraine has deployed military units to protect critical infrastructure against drones in five Middle Eastern countries, aiming for long-term security cooperation. Ukraine has strategically positioned military units in Middle Eastern countries to safeguard critical infrastructure from drone threats. This proactive measure was spearheaded by Ukraine's security council secretary, Rustem Umerov, following his visit to the region.

Umerov visited the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, establishing deployment of Ukrainian units and outlining future security cooperation. These efforts are managed by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, involving interception units for infrastructure protection and consultations on expanding security measures to counter drone attacks.

Ukraine leverages its military technologies and wartime air defense solutions to aid international partners, focusing on the Strait of Hormuz. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy emphasized the importance of acknowledging Ukraine's role in global security, urging assessments of international readiness to join security initiatives.
