Speaking at rallies in Farakka and Hooghly, Banerjee accused the Congress of aligning with the BJP, urging the public to rally against their tactics.
Addressing issues such as riverine erosion and alleged voter disenfranchisement efforts, Banerjee highlighted TMC's commitment to development. He promised initiatives like piped drinking water, healthcare camps, and increased financial assistance to erosion-affected families, with a pledge for rehabilitation and stability for residents.
Banerjee also criticized the central government for rising agriculture input costs, promising a robust state agriculture budget and aid for farmers. He warned about political instability affecting tourism, calling for unity against BJP's strategies, and asserting TMC's role in fostering development and safeguarding heritage sites.
