As vote counting unfolds across four states and one Union Territory, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia emphasized emerging trends at a press briefing, declaring that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India is advancing towards becoming a 'Developed India' (Viksit Bharat). He described a political paradigm focused on 'pro-incumbency,' where governmental performance is directly evaluated by the public, fostering national trust in the leadership's roadmap for India's future.

Bhatia stated, "Trends vividly show that under PM Modi's leadership and commitment to good governance, the dream of a 'Developed India' is gaining unwavering national support." He further remarked on the evolving political landscape, labeling it as 'pro-incumbency', a political approach where governments present their achievements to voters, complete with a clear future roadmap.

In Assam, with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leading in 97 of the 126 Assembly seats, the BJP is heading for a decisive victory, outpacing Congress, which is ahead in only 26 seats, suggesting a potential third term for Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Concurrently, in West Bengal, the BJP's lead in 156 seats indicates a historic shift, poised to end the Trinamool Congress' prolonged rule. This potential change marks the conclusion of a 15-year period of Trinamool dominance, preceded by a 34-year Communist reign. BJP's Lead Opposition candidate Suvendu Adhikari declared confidently that the BJP will secure over 180 seats, setting the stage for a significant political transformation in West Bengal.
