In response to the ongoing severe heatwave in Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off 13 Mobile Heat Relief Units from the Delhi Secretariat on Wednesday. These units aim to provide essential services, such as clean drinking water, ORS packets, and first aid, while distributing towels and caps to help residents manage the extreme heat conditions.

The Chief Minister also unveiled a Heat Action Plan booklet, focusing on enhancing public awareness and preparedness against heatwave threats throughout the city. Officials have advised residents to stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight exposure during peak heat hours, urging them to take necessary precautions.

A high-level review meeting was conducted by the Chief Minister earlier to evaluate Delhi's water management strategy as the summer months approach. Key water-related projects were scrutinized, with a directive to maintain seamless supply and response during high-demand periods. Negligence would trigger strict repercussions, highlighting the administration's commitment to resolve water scarcity issues in the city.
