BJP leader D N Jeevaraj took oath as MLA following a dramatic shift in election results after the review of votes.
Previously announced as the loser in the 2023 Sringeri Assembly election, the recount reduced Congress candidate T D Raje Gowda’s tally by 255 votes.
The process, ordered by the High Court, has led to allegations of electoral malpractice, termed 'Vote Dacoity' by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and has prompted legal disputes.
