On Thursday, the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, paid a visit to the renowned Kamakhya Temple, situated atop the Nilachal Hills. The visit aimed to seek divine blessings for Assam’s well-being over the next five years, as he embarks on his second term.

Speaking to reporters after praying, Sarma expressed his hope that the blessings of Ma Kamakhya would facilitate the state’s development across multiple fronts. He emphasized the importance of divine guidance in achieving comprehensive progress for Assam under the NDA government's continued leadership.

Sarma shared his gratitude on social media, honoring Mother Kamakhya as the mother of the universe and expressing his resolve to make Assam a more developed and secure state. His second term began with his swearing-in on May 12, marking a continued journey towards growth and prosperity.
