The political dynamics in Tamil Nadu are witnessing a dramatic transformation following K Annamalai's resignation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the initiation of a new political movement. Karu Nagarajan, the BJP's vice president in Tamil Nadu, has also resigned to join this burgeoning initiative.

Nagarajan, addressing reporters in Alandur, expressed strong support for Annamalai, stating, "Annamalai will become the people's choice in Tamil Nadu." He revealed that several party functionaries have voluntarily aligned with Annamalai, stressing his unique rapport with the people.

Nagarajan contrasted Annamalai's leadership with previous state leaders, emphasizing his direct communication approach with the public. He lauded Annamalai for exposing government drawbacks and fostering youth participation in politics. Addressing his resignation, Nagarajan echoed a growing trend among local BJP members rallying behind Annamalai.

Nagarajan clarified their stance as policy-driven, not personal, and criticized leadership errors while asserting their democratic duty. Earlier, Annamalai received a warm welcome at Chennai airport, following his announcement to leave the BJP after 18 months of policy disagreements, indicating a strategic rather than impulsive decision supported by party leaders during the election timeline.
