BJP Slams AAP's 'Deceptive' Move on Coaching Institutes Regulation

The BJP criticized the AAP's announcement of regulating coaching institutes, calling it a deceptive tactic to evade responsibility for the deaths of three students in a flooded library. BJP Delhi president Virendra Sachdeva stated that immediate safety measures are needed rather than a regulatory framework. He also highlighted inadequacies in the AAP's governance.

The BJP sharply criticized the ruling AAP on Wednesday for its announcement to bring in a law regulating coaching institutes, describing it as a 'deceptive' move meant to evade responsibility for the deaths of three civil services aspirants in the flooded basement library of a coaching center in Old Rajinder Nagar.

At a press conference, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva alleged that the AAP government's announcement of this regulatory framework was merely 'deception.' He argued that instead of a regulatory framework, the government should focus on implementing immediate safety measures.

'It is regrettable that the AAP government, which has been dormant for ten years, is trying to deflect responsibility for the deaths of three students due to the negligence of its departments. They have suddenly woken up to make announcements,' said Sachdeva. He added that this Act should have been introduced ten years ago when AAP assumed power in Delhi and suggested that paying guest accommodations in the city also need regulation.
