Committee to Tackle Government Land Encroachment in Jaipur

A high-level committee will be formed to take action against encroachments on government land in Jaipur city, announced Minister of State for Urban Development Jhabar Singh Kharra in the Rajasthan assembly on Monday.
Kharra was responding to a question raised by Jaipur city MLA Balmukund Acharya through an attention motion during the Zero Hour.
The minister confirmed that the committee, under the supervision of the state's chief vigilance commissioner and the additional chief secretary of the Home Department, will investigate encroachment cases and illegal constructions. The committee will have a two-month timeframe to identify violations and submit a report on the offending officers, based on which appropriate actions will be taken.
Additionally, Kharra disclosed that the patwari of Jaisinghpura Khor, who had been in his position for about 18 years and allegedly allowed the issuance of illegal leases, will be suspended immediately and replaced by a new appointee.
