Landslide Tragedy in Northern Pakistan Claims Lives

A landslide struck a passenger bus in northern Pakistan on Monday, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including two security officials, according to police reports.

An additional passenger sustained injuries during the incident in the Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as confirmed by local police chief Abdul Rahim.

The bus was en route to the Dasu district, home to Pakistan's largest hydropower project, which is being developed with assistance from China.

Police official Abdul Rahim clarified that the landslide, triggered by heavy rains, was initially mistaken for a landmine. He noted that such accidents are frequent in Pakistan during the rainy season.
