Mercury Dips as Rain Saturates Punjab and Haryana

Rain drenched Punjab and Haryana, lowering temperatures in multiple districts, including Gurdaspur, Chandigarh, and Ambala. The minimum temperatures in various locations fell below normal. Panchkula issued a public advisory, warning against venturing near swollen rivers and waterlogged areas due to rising water levels in the Ghaggar river.

Heavy rains have soaked Punjab and Haryana, causing a noticeable drop in temperatures, according to the meteorological department's report on Wednesday.

In Punjab, the district of Gurdaspur experienced a significant downpour of 71.5 mm over a 24-hour period. Several other districts, namely Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, and Mohali, also reported rainfall.

Similarly, parts of Haryana, including Ambala and Faridabad, were hit by rains, prompting a safety advisory from the Panchkula district administration to avoid risks posed by rising river levels.
