Heavy Rains Cause Flood Chaos in Nanded, Rescue Efforts Escalate

In Maharashtra's Nanded district, ongoing rescue efforts have been mobilized after heavy rains caused severe flooding, sweeping away seven individuals from a flooded road. Three men have been rescued, while searches continue for four others, including three women, officials confirmed.
With 293 individuals already evacuated, the Indian Army, State Disaster Response Force, and local teams are tirelessly working to reach affected villages, many of which are submerged. Medical camps and food distribution points have been established as emergency services remain on high alert.
The unrelenting rainfall also resulted in significant water discharge from major irrigation projects. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for the district, reporting that flood relief operations are at peak levels to manage the calamity.
