Bidding Process Concludes for Kerala T20 Premier League

The Kerala T20 Premier League (KT20PL) has completed its bidding process, setting the stage for the tournament starting on September 2. Key players in the process include renowned entities and individuals passionate about cricket. The competition aims to showcase top talent and provide a thrilling sports event.

The bidding process for the Kerala T20 Premier League (KT20PL) has successfully concluded. Following the popularity of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the KT20PL is set to highlight premier cricket talent and offer an exhilarating sporting event. The competition will commence on September 2 at the Greenfield International Stadium, featuring six participating teams.

Expressions of interest were received from esteemed entities aiming to secure franchise rights, prompted by an advertisement issued on June 26, 2024. The original deadline for submissions on July 15, 2024, was extended to July 17 to facilitate bidders. Additionally, a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section was made available on the Kerala Cricket Association's (KCA) website and sent to bidders who purchased bid packages. KPMG conducted a technical evaluation to ensure bidders met the established eligibility criteria. A total of 13 bids were assessed, with evaluations completed by noon today. The base price was set at INR 1 crore plus GST, with a cap at INR 2.5 crore. The process focused on attracting dedicated team owners passionate about cricket, emphasizing sustainability and value creation.

The competing bidders included Zohra A Sait and Azeem A Sait (Finesse Market Link Private Limited), TS Kaladharan (Console Shipping Services India Private Limited - Consortium), Subash George (Enigmatic Smile Rewards Private Limited), Sanju Mohammed (EKK Infrastructure Limited), Rajive Paul (Chungath Jewellers), Sohan Roy Sreevilas Krishnan (Aries Group), and Jose Pattara and S. Priyadarshan (Consortium).
