Former Odisha Chief Minister Congratulates Indian Men's Hockey Team for Olympic Bronze
Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the Indian men’s hockey team for winning bronze at the Paris Olympics. Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday held a video conference with members of the Indian men's hockey team to congratulate them on their bronze medal win at the Paris Olympics.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also joined the virtual meet to commend the team's historic achievement.
During the conversation, Patnaik praised the team, saying, 'Many, many congratulations to the Indian team from all of us in Odisha and in fact the whole of India. Very, very well done. We are so proud of you.'
The team responded by chanting 'Jai Jagannath' and expressing gratitude toward Patnaik for his support of hockey. Patnaik also took the opportunity to reflect on his government's initiatives to promote the sport.
