Bangladesh cruised to a six-wicket victory against Pakistan in the second test on Tuesday, completing a 2-0 series sweep. Chasing 185 for victory, Bangladesh showcased a string of impressive performances to seal their third test series win away from home at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Notable contributions came from opener Zakir Hasan (40), skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (38), and Mominul Haq (34). Veterans Mushfiqur Rahim (22) and Shakib Al Hasan (21) guided the team to victory, with an emotional Shanto expressing his pride at the presentation ceremony.
All-rounder Mehedy Hasan Miraz dedicated his player-of-the-series award to a victim of recent anti-government protests. Interim leader Muhammad Yunus congratulated the team on their remarkable achievement. Bangladesh's resilience shone through as they overcame a challenging start to secure their first-ever test series win against Pakistan.
