In a significant display of joint operational readiness, the Army and the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out a coordinated interoperability exercise, according to a defence spokesperson on Wednesday.
This exercise was designed to bolster the synchronization between ground and aerial forces, facilitating a seamless integration in dynamic battlefield scenarios. It underscored the importance of refining tactics to enable swift and effective responsiveness, particularly under high-threat conditions.
Under the aegis of Tiger Division, the exercise featured an IAF helicopter airlifting Army troops to dense, vegetation-rich locations. This tested the forces' adeptness in executing complex insertion maneuvers and coordinated combat assaults, incorporating surveillance, precision strikes, and rapid troop extraction to enhance real-time battlefield preparedness.
