This marks the first international para event hosted by India, signaling a significant step forward in the nation's sporting ambitions.
According to Martin Chorley, Senior Manager of World Para Athletics Competitions, India aims to build a legacy by pushing the New Delhi Grand Prix for the Paralympic cycle through 2028. It reflects the country's broader aspirations to host the 2036 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, with grand hopes of upgrading athletic infrastructure.
