CABI Adds Colombo as Neutral Venue for Women's T20 World Cup Amid Nepal Tensions

The Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) announced a major update on Tuesday regarding the inaugural Women's T20 World Cup. Originally, Kathmandu was slated as a neutral venue for matches involving Pakistan. However, due to the unstable situation in Nepal, Colombo has been added as a neutral host city.
This decision was made during a virtual meeting of the Executive Committee of the World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) held on Monday. CABI officials are now coordinating with Colombo counterparts to finalize arrangements for the tournament, scheduled from November 11 to November 25.
The tournament will feature 21 league matches, two semi-finals, and a grand finale, spread across New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Colombo. CABI Chairman Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar expressed pride in hosting the event, emphasizing it as a celebration of courage and inclusion. Teams from India, Australia, England, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the USA will compete.
