In a spectacular display on Saturday, New Zealand's Alice Robinson secured her second consecutive giant slalom victory at the World Cup event in Tremblant, Canada. The alpine skier triumphed despite battling rain and wind, confirming her position as a top contender for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics.
Robinson, dominating the discipline with two confident runs, outperformed Croatian Zrinka Ljutic, who finished nearly a second behind for her career-best. Canadian hope Valerie Grenier celebrated a podium finish on home snow, while American icon Mikaela Shiffrin rounded out the top six after a challenging second run.
The race, characterized by unpredictable conditions and shifting snow, tested competitors' nerve and skill. Reflecting on her win, Robinson remarked on her previous struggles but felt she conquered the course seamlessly this time around, reinforcing her status in the giant slalom circuit.
