In a dominating display at the T20 World Cup, New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips showcased their class, steering their team to a comprehensive eight-wicket victory over Canada. Both batters remained unbeaten, with Ravindra hitting 59 and Phillips reaching 77, sealing the win in just 15.1 overs.
Canada had set a challenging target of 173, largely due to the heroics of 19-year-old Yuvraj Samra. Samra's 110 off 65 balls, which included 11 fours and six sixes, was a record-making innings as he became the youngest batter to score a century in T20 World Cup history.
Despite Canada's formidable opening partnership between Samra and skipper Dilpreet Bajwa, which yielded 116 runs, New Zealand's experienced duo made quick work of the chase, reaffirming their team's formidable reputation in the tournament.
