Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, during his US visit, secured a massive expansion deal with the global IT leader Cognizant. This deal includes the creation of a new Hyderabad facility covering 10 lakh sq feet, set to generate 15,000 new jobs, according to an official release on Monday.
After meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and state IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, Cognizant announced its significant expansion in Hyderabad. The new centre is designed to house 20,000 employees, underscoring the city's role as a prominent technology and innovation hub.
Chief Minister Reddy, joined by a high-level delegation, met with Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S, who expressed excitement about the expansion plans. ''We are enthusiastic about expanding our footprint in Hyderabad, a thriving city for technology,'' said Kumar. The facility will enable Cognizant to serve global clients more efficiently and deliver advanced IT services and consulting solutions.
