Karnataka's Bold Move: Bridging Europe-India Innovation with VivaTech

The Karnataka government has signed a Letter of Intent with VivaTech to establish a Europe-India startup and innovation corridor. This collaboration will enhance market access, investor connections, and enterprise partnerships, aiming to foster innovation ecosystems and cross-border cooperation between India, France, and Europe.

The Karnataka government has taken a significant step by signing a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Europe's premier innovation event, VivaTech. This agreement aims to create a structured corridor for startups and innovation between Europe and India, with the Bengaluru Tech Summit as its anchor.

The LoI, signed on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi by the Department of Electronics, IT/BT, and Science & Technology, is set to foster cross-border collaboration. It aims to strengthen innovation ecosystems, enhancing market access, investor connections, and enterprise partnerships for Karnataka's growing startup ecosystem.

IT Minister Priyank Kharge emphasized the importance of this partnership in the context of the upcoming India-France Year of Innovation 2026. The collaboration promises a long-term technology partnership, providing Karnataka's startups access to European markets, thereby enabling them to scale and compete globally in emerging technologies.
