Xiaomi looks set to take on Google's 'Digital Wellbeing' feature with its own modified version called 'Screen Time'. This new feature has started rolling out in latest MIUI 10 Global 9.4.18, which the latest beta version. This feature is getting a good response from users and is likely to make to the stable version as well.

Xiaomi has provided a very minimalistic app and useful app when compared to Google's Digital Wellbeing. Let's analyze its pros and cons.

First of all, setting up the app on devices running MIUI is easier if compared to Digital Wellbeing. It doesn't annoy you with the daunting process of giving it the usage access and it is included in the phone settings (search ‘screen time’ to get to it).

Also, it provides you with a feature called ‘Screen Time Alert’, as the name suggests, it will alert you about alert you when you exceed your daily limit of screen usage. You can set different time limits for weekdays and weekends which is a pretty handy feature.

You can also choose to see the usage graph of 7 days or 30 days, but Digital Wellbeing (even the latest version that you can run in MIUI) only gives you the option to see usage graph of 7 days. You can also see your collective screen usage of last 7 days.
