Japanese Delegation Visits Mumbai Metro Line-3
A delegation from Japan's House of Councillors visited Mumbai's Metro Line-3, funded largely by Japan. They were briefed on the project's progress and challenges, and took a ride to appreciate the development. Japan’s financial aid through JICA has been pivotal in progressing the project aimed at improving Mumbai’s connectivity.

A delegation of members from Japan's House of Councillors visited Mumbai's Metro Line-3 on Sunday. The visit included a ride from BKC station to Marol Naka station.
The delegation, led by Kazuhiko AOKI, was received by top officials of the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC). The 33.5 km-long underground Aqua Line project has 57% of its cost funded by Japan.
Officials briefed the delegation on the project's progress, challenges, and impact. The Japanese lawmakers acknowledged the effective utilization of the funding and noted the increased mobility it promises for Mumbai, especially to slum areas.
