U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff is poised to travel to the Middle East contingent on the success of renewed ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, reported by journalist Barak Ravid on Tuesday.

Speaking at an American Jewish Committee event, Witkoff shared that an Israeli delegation is set to engage in crucial talks in either Doha or Cairo, as Qatar and Egypt continue their roles as mediators. Should discussions prove fruitful, Witkoff may make his regional visit as early as Sunday.

The ceasefire, operational since January 19, remains under strain with allegations of breaches and looming diplomatic hurdles. Without a new accord by the week's end, the truce stands on uncertain ground, risking renewed hostilities or a suspended impasse.
