The initial closure was scheduled to remain effective until 05:29 hrs on May 15, according to a press release from the AAI, but has now been lifted, enabling the resumption of normal civil aircraft operations. This decision follows reports from the Mohali Deputy Commissioner confirming that Chandigarh Airport is open for regular operations. The closures were initially prompted by 'Operation Sindoor,' targeting terror camps in Pakistan and leading to heightened cross-border tensions.
