Trent Ltd, a retail arm of the Tata group, announced an 8.6% increase in net profit for the June quarter, reaching Rs 424.7 crore, driven by robust performance across its formats.
The company's revenue for the first quarter rose to Rs 4,883.48 crore, up from Rs 4,104.44 crore year-on-year, despite an increase in total expenses to Rs 4,368.59 crore.
Chairman Noel N Tata highlighted Trent's commitment to differentiation in consumer propositions, emphasizing the growing scale and awareness of Westside and Zudio brands, alongside optimism about the Star supermarket's potential in the highly competitive food market.
