The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has taken drastic action by suspending four Flight Operations Inspectors. This follows a major upheaval in IndiGo's flight operations, resulting in the cancellation of thousands of flights, leaving countless passengers stranded at various airports.

On Friday, IndiGo canceled over 50 flights originating from Bengaluru Airport alone. This crisis hit the airline severely, as it already canceled over 200 flights from Delhi and Bengaluru on the previous day.

In an escalated response, DGCA officials have intensified their scrutiny by positioning themselves at IndiGo's headquarters. An inquiry panel, which grilled CEO Pieter Elbers, is tasked with investigating underlying causes, including manpower planning and adherence to new duty period and rest norms for pilots.
