Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced these services, which will link key Indian states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra with West Bengal and Assam.
Positioned as affordable travel options, these trains cater to everyday passengers, enriching the Amrit Kaal's vision of seamless and cost-effective rail journeys. With fares around Rs 500 per thousand kilometers, these trains promise a boon for regions often left disconnected.
The Amrit Bharat Express trains, operational since December 2023, offer enhanced amenities such as modern seating, advanced toilets, and facilities for divyangjan passengers. The rollout of additional services is set to elevate passenger experience across Indian Railways corridors.
