IndiGo, India's largest airline, has experienced a significant financial setback, reporting a 78% plunge in profits for the last quarter of 2025. The airline's profits fell to Rs 549.1 crore compared to Rs 2,448.8 crore in the same period the previous year.

Despite the profit drop, InterGlobe Aviation, IndiGo's parent company, boasted an increase in total income, reaching Rs 24,540.6 crore, up from Rs 22,992.8 crore recorded in the corresponding period last year. This development follows a tumultuous month in December when IndiGo was hit by significant operational disruptions.

As a consequence of these disruptions, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) mandated a 10% reduction in IndiGo's winter schedule until February 10, impacting the airline's capacity and ability to meet high demand during the holiday season.
