In a strategic move to cement its foothold in India's burgeoning aerospace sector, Airbus, in partnership with Tata Advanced Systems, has announced plans to produce 10 H125 helicopters annually from a newly established final assembly line in Karnataka by 2029. This venture underscores the immense growth potential Airbus sees in the Indian market.

Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, emphasized the role of helicopters in nation-building and providing public services. He highlighted the H125 model as pivotal in boosting the civil helicopter market across India and expressed the company's commitment to developing a robust aeronautical ecosystem in the region.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone as it's the first private sector helicopter final assembly line in India. The facility, inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, will deliver its first helicopter by 2027, with future plans for military variant production and exports to South Asia.
