The vital Bhaderwah–Chamba interstate road, spanning 140 kilometers, has been reopened after a three-month hiatus following heavy snowfall, authorities have announced. This route connects Jammu and Kashmir to Himachal Pradesh, playing a critical role in regional tourism.

Snow-clearing operations were conducted by the Mechanical Division Doda and the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, Bhaderwah. While traffic has resumed, restrictions remain in place, prohibiting travel between 6 pm and 6 am beyond the Thanala and Khundi Maral check posts.

Rashid Choudhary, a tourism strategist, highlighted the road's significance in boosting the local economy, while tourist guide Imran Wani noted its potential to attract visitors to scenic spots like Padri and Jai Valley.
