India Leads Global AI Marketing Transformation: Insights from BCG Report
India is rapidly becoming the leading global market for AI-driven marketing initiatives. According to a BCG report, Indian CMOs anticipate higher AI-driven revenue growth than their global counterparts, as they emphasize agentic commerce and personalization to achieve significant topline growth and invest heavily in AI talent and upskilling.
In an unprecedented shift toward AI-driven marketing, India is outpacing global trends, as reported by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). With a substantial focus on artificial intelligence, Indian Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) are expecting incremental revenue growth exceeding the global average, positioning the nation as a frontrunner in AI-driven marketing transformation.
The survey highlights India as a pioneer in leveraging high-impact growth opportunities through AI, showcasing the country's strategy in agentic commerce and personalization. Notably, 53% of Indian CMOs predict 5-9% incremental topline growth from AI applications, outstripping the global average of 43%. This reflects India's robust marketing-led AI investment landscape where 57% of the funding is orchestrated by marketing divisions, compared to 47% worldwide.
Indian CMOs prioritize agentic commerce, with 73% identifying it as a strategic focal point, against a global average of 63%. Moreover, with the highest expectations for AI's impact on personalization, Indian marketing leaders are confident about the region's talent readiness. This is bolstered by significant AI upskilling efforts and a focus on ethical AI practices, ensuring India's lead in the AI marketing revolution.
