The Goa government has forged a significant partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish an international skill centre in the state.
The MoU signing event took place in Porvorim on Tuesday, attended by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, NSDC officials, and state government representatives. Post-event, CM Sawant briefed reporters about the centre's objective to create a world-class skill development ecosystem for the Goan youth.
This advanced facility will train Goan youth in essential skills, including foreign languages and domain-specific competencies, enabling them to compete on a global stage. The centre aims to provide minimum 5,000 young people annually with training tailored for international employment, particularly in sectors such as hospitality, health care, IT, construction, and more.
