In a strategic move to boost employability, TeamLease EdTech announced a partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Employment, unveiling its plan to offer work-linked degree programmes. This collaboration was revealed on Wednesday.
The Memorandum of Understanding will enable TeamLease EdTech to feature around 200 work-linked degree programmes on the National Career Service portal. These courses include internships, providing more than 5,00,000 hands-on learning opportunities.
TeamLease EdTech aims to leverage its digital platform, Digivarsity, making internship opportunities widely accessible to Indian students. The initiative is seen as a crucial step in addressing skill gaps and nurturing a job-ready workforce for the nation's evolving job market, according to Jaideep Kewalramani, COO and Head of Employability Business at TeamLease EdTech.
