Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has launched a strong critique against the National Education Policy (NEP), dubbing it a 'saffron policy' primarily designed to promote Hindi rather than national interests. In a public rally, Stalin condemned the policy, claiming it harms Tamil Nadu's educational growth and undermines social justice by disregarding reservation policies.
The chief minister took a stand against the proposed delimitation exercise, accusing the BJP government of conspiring to sustain power through increased political influence in northern states. He warned that this could reduce southern states' representation in Parliament, a move he sees as a threat to democratic principles and federalism.
Stalin vowed that the DMK, alongside other southern state parties, would resist what he termed the 'fascist activities' of the BJP. He emphasized the importance of uniting India against these policies, grounding the struggle in principles of social justice, secularism, and state autonomy, as essential to preserving the nation's integrity.
