Karnataka's Higher Education Minister, M C Sudhakar, has pledged support for the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled's proposal to acquire an additional 100-acre land. The expansion would facilitate the creation of an inclusive global university and sports complex for people with disabilities.
The announcement was made during a higher education conclave organized by Samarthanam Trust and Standard Chartered Bank, where a white paper on the Trust's milestones and future needs was presented. Sudhakar reaffirmed his dedication to furthering the Trust's vision, which has positively impacted 3,500 students with disabilities.
Mahantesh G K, Founder of Samarthanam Trust, highlighted the success of their education initiative, which has seen 3,500 students with disabilities enrolled in 725 colleges and 95 universities across India, producing graduates who have secured work in both government and private sectors.
