The Karnataka government has launched a rigorous crackdown on subpar paramedical colleges, as announced by Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education and Skill Development.
Officials have shared alarming reports of inadequate facilities—like a single microscope for numerous students, prompting the minister to demand immediate action.
A majority of these 566 colleges, mostly privately operated, have come under scrutiny, risking disaffiliation for deceiving authorities and charging disproportionate fees. The initiative will reposition affected students in superior institutions.
