In a pointed critique, Changanassery Archbishop Thomas Tharayil accused Kerala General Education Minister V Sivankutty of reneging on his promises concerning teacher appointments in Christian-aided schools.
The Archbishop argued that the Supreme Court ruling, which minister Sivankutty claims applies solely to Nair Service Society schools, should extend to Christian-managed institutions as well.
In response, Minister Sivankutty has cautioned some school managements not to lead the public astray, highlighting discrepancies in vacancy reporting, and pledging an investigation into unreported positions.
