In a contentious development, Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and Tikaram Jully have criticized the Rajasthan government over its handling of the alleged NEET-UG paper leak case, suggesting administrative delays may have been a bid to dodge public embarrassment.

Conversely, state BJP president Madan Rathore contends the leak purportedly occurred in Kerala, not Rajasthan, with ongoing investigations. The state's Special Operations Group (SOG) has been reticent about the case's progress, including detentions or arrests.

This situation triggered protests by the National Students' Union of India in Ajmer, disrupting local traffic as they demanded accountability for the examination's cancellation and urged dismantling the paper leak network.
