Filmmaker Asim Abbasi on Wednesday shared stills from his upcoming Zindagi series, featuring Pakistani stars Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed and said actors will be seen playing parts which will surprise the audience.

According to the makers, the yet-to-be-titled show blends together ''magical realism and supernatural fantasy within a family reunion setting'', dealing with themes of love, loss and reconciliation.

Abbasi, best known for ''Cake'' and the hit Zindagi Original ''Churails'', took to Twitter and shared a picture of Khan and Saeed from the show's shooting location in Hunza Valley, Pakistan. In a statement, Khan credited Zindagi for being an ''inclusive'' platform for artistes.

Khan became a household name in the country with Pakistani dramas like ''Zindagi Gulzar Hai'' (2013), ''Humsafar'' and later worked in Hindi films like ''Kapoor & Sons'' and ''Ae Dil Hai Mushkil''. ''Ae Dil...'' was his last Bollywood project and his appearance in the film became controversial due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan.

Saeed said she is thrilled to collaborate with Abbasi after their acclaimed Netflix film ''Cake'' in 2018.
