World Heritage Committee Delegates Explore Cultural Riches of Delhi
Delegates of the World Heritage Committee took a break from their busy schedule to explore various cultural sites in and around Delhi, including the Taj Mahal and Qutb Minar. Over 2,000 delegates from more than 150 countries participated in this key UNESCO event, hosted in India for the first time.

Delegates of the ongoing World Heritage Committee (WHC) session took a breather from their marathon discussions to visit iconic cultural sites like the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, and Qutb Minar.
The 46th session, held in New Delhi from July 21 to July 31, marks the first time India has hosted this significant UNESCO event. According to the Culture Ministry, the meeting attracted over 2,000 international and national delegates from more than 150 countries.
The committee members and delegates toured several UNESCO-recognised sites, enjoying local cuisine and shopping. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) organized the visits to make their stay memorable, highlighting India's commitment to preserving its rich cultural heritage.
