Business Leaders Pay Tribute to Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee

On Thursday, industry captains expressed their condolences for the former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who passed away at 80 due to age-related ailments. Tributes highlighted his contributions to industrialization, arts, and his commendable leadership in the state.

Industry captains on Thursday condoled the death of former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

Bhattacharjee passed away at his Kolkata residence at the age of 80, survived by his wife Mira and daughter Suchetana. Industry leaders remembered him as a respected and humane individual.

Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of RPSG Group, stated that he deeply respected Bhattacharjee for his unique motivational skills and acknowledged the loss of a great leader in Bengal. Harshvardhan Neotia of Ambuja Neotia group praised Bhattacharjee for his patronage of art, literature, music, and cinema, as well as his significant efforts towards the state's industrialization.

NG Khaitan, President of Bharat Chamber of Commerce, and the Merchants' Chamber of Commerce both expressed that his visionary leadership in industrializing West Bengal and attracting investments has left a lasting legacy. His passing is seen as a tremendous loss to the state.
