As Parliament adjourned sine die, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Friday underscored that he has submitted four notices for moving privilege motions against BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and said, 'Let's see what happens'.
Marking the 82nd anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's 'Karo ya Maro' call, Ramesh recalled the historic appeal.
During this Rajya Sabha session, Ramesh submitted notices against the Prime Minister for alleged mischievous remarks and for posting expunged remarks of Anurag Thakur. Additional notices targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah for misleading statements about Kerala's Wayanad landslide disaster and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan concerning NCERT textbooks.
Ramesh noted that colleagues Randeep Surjewala and Digvijaya Singh also raised a privilege issue against the Agriculture Minister over false claims during a debate on the Ministry's functioning.
Ramesh concluded with 'Let's see what happens'.
