Govinda Set to Return Home After Gunshot Incident

Bollywood actor and politician Govinda, who was recently hospitalized due to a gunshot injury sustained at a Mumbai hospital, is now recovering and preparing to return home. On Friday morning, his wife, Sunita, updated the media on the 'Hero No. 1' star's health status.
'His health is completely stable right now. Through the blessings of Mata Rani and everyone's prayers, he is doing well and is expected to resume work soon. Govinda will be discharged around 12-1 pm today,' Sunita stated. The actor was admitted to the hospital on October 1 after his licensed revolver accidentally discharged, causing a bullet wound to his knee.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 am on Tuesday. According to the Mumbai Police, Govinda was preparing for a trip to Kolkata and was attempting to place his gun in a cupboard when it went off unexpectedly. His manager, Shashi Sinha, explained, 'The gun slipped from his hand as he was getting ready to leave for Kolkata, resulting in a gunfire that injured his leg. The bullet has been removed by the doctor, and his condition is stable, though he remains hospitalized.'
Govinda conveyed his gratitude to his fans from the hospital, acknowledging their support. 'Hello, this is Govinda. Thanks to my fans, my parents, and God, I am on the path to recovery. The bullet has been removed, and I express my gratitude to Dr. Agarwal and to everyone for their prayers.' Following the incident, numerous celebrities, including director David Dhawan and actors Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty, visited the hospital to check on his health.
