The Art, Culture, and Language Department in Delhi aims to preserve local history by offering a 360-degree virtual tour of Ghalib ki Haveli in Ballimaran and conserving four historic monuments. Officials note the urgency in preserving these sites, some of which are losing their historic importance over time.
Among the monuments set for conservation are the Minar at Hasthsal Village, the Tomb of Sayyid Yasin at ITI Nizamuddin, the Baradari and Tomb at Sadhana Enclave, and the Kos Minar at Badarpur Village. The initiative promises a digital gateway to historic exploration as part of its larger cultural heritage preservation plan.
Historians applaud the initiative, seeing it as a step toward reconnecting the community with its forgotten cultural landmarks. They emphasize the importance of proper signage in multiple languages to enhance accessibility and engagement for both tourists and locals, especially poetry enthusiasts.
