Neiphiu Rio Unveils Plans for Kohima's Eco Park

Nagaland's Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio inspected the ongoing Eco Park Kohima construction aimed to be ready for the Hornbill Festival. The park will promote Naga products and include features like a Peace Memorial, a view tower, and market stalls, fostering cultural exchange and tourism.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio recently reviewed the progress of Eco Park Kohima's construction. Strategically located between the Capital Cultural Hall and the Indoor Stadium, the park is set to be a landmark attraction featuring traditional Naga aesthetics and cultural exhibits.

Rio expressed optimism about meeting the operational deadline ahead of the Hornbill Festival in December. The park aims to highlight Nagaland's cultural richness through exhibitions of local handloom, handicraft, and historical artifacts, significantly boosting the regional economy.

Financed through the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the development includes a Peace Memorial symbolizing the bond between Nagaland and Japan, blending indigenous and Japanese architectural influences. Additional features include ample parking, cultural stalls, and amenities to improve visitor experience.
