President Vladimir Putin announced on Wednesday that Russia has conducted successful tests of its nuclear-powered submersible drone, known as Poseidon, claiming it to have virtually unlimited range. The drill was a demonstration of the nation's advanced military capabilities as seen in a televised meeting during his visit to a military hospital.

The Poseidon, described by the President as being much more powerful than the Sarmat ballistic missile, was launched from a mother submarine and boasts an unprecedented nuclear power plant significantly smaller than that of traditional strategic submarines. Putin affirmed that the Sarmat missile would soon join combat duties, adding to the nation's strategic strength.

Further highlighting Russia's offensive capabilities, Putin spoke about the Burevestnik cruise missile, which was tested successfully and remains airborne for an impressive duration and distance. The Burevestnik's reactor is remarkably compact, borrowing technology from space electronics, and underscores Russia's growing military innovations.
