In a poignant visit to Varanasi, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan reflected on his journey to vegetarianism, inspired during his first pilgrimage to Kashi 25 years ago. This profound change was attributed to a ritual bath in the sacred Ganga river.

Marking the inauguration of a new satram, constructed by the Sri Kasi Nattukkottai Nagara Satram Managing Society, Radhakrishnan praised the transformative efforts spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Vice President lauded the substantial contribution of Rs 60 crore by the Nagarathar community, underscoring their dedication to social service and the promotion of Tamil culture.

Radhakrishnan's address emphasized the strengthened cultural bond between North and South India through initiatives like the Kashi Tamil Sangamam. He applauded the return of the idol of Annapurani Amman Devi and highlighted sustainable energy efforts with the installation of solar lamps. The new facility, comprised of 140 rooms, aims to welcome devotees, reinforcing spiritual unity in the spirit of "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat."
