IFFK Celebrates 30th Edition with Over 200 Films from 70 Countries

The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) is set to return for its 30th edition from December 12-19, promising an exciting line-up of over 200 films from nearly 70 countries. The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy announced expanded selections with screenings in 16 theatres, including a new location for 2025.
This year's highlights include a tribute to Canadian filmmaker Kelly Fyffe-Marshall, honoured with the Spirit of Cinema Award for challenging racial biases through film. Her latest short, Demons, was recently showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The festival also celebrates Bengali auteur Ritwik Ghatak's centenary with a retrospective and Vietnam's cinematic journey 50 years post-war. Engaging discussions and exhibitions will accompany the screenings, with cultural events at Manaveeyam Veedhi enhancing the festival experience.
